Quick Dinner Idea – Open Face Burger

OPEN FACE BURGER

Long day and work and you need a quick dinner idea? Try an Open Face Burger with a side of salad. Perfect meal if you are single or for two. Plus, it cheap and easy to make.

What you need:

– Single Slice of bread, toasted

– Frozen Hamburger Patty

– Fresh Tomato Sliced

– Cheese of your choice

– Choice of Toppings, Photo shows picketed red onions & Jalapeños.

How to make:

Toast Your Bread.

Fry or grill your frozen burger patty till done.

While the burger is cooking, slice your tomato and get your cheese ready. When the burger patty is almost done, place your cheese slice on top to melt for the last 5 minutes.

To Assemble: Slice of Bread on plate, then burger with cheese, topped with tomato and your topping.

Enjoy with a side salad or chips!

Easy Pickled Jalapeños.

– In a pot, add 1 cup of vinegar, 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar. Add 1 Tablespoon of black peppercorns and 2 finally chopped garlic. Bring this to a boil.

– Thinly Slice 6 to jalapeños and dice half a red onion.

– Once the sugar has dissolved, turn off stove. Add jalapeños & red onion to pot. Take off the heat and let it marinate in the brine for 30 minutes.

– After mixture has cooled, pour into a canning jar. Store in refrigerator for up to 2 months.

Pickled Jalapeños are a great topping for pizza, nachos, add to salad, or anything you can think of.
